The trouble is that the students will emerge into an extremely competitive jobs market where nobody will monitor them. If they fall by the wayside in their careers, this will just be hard luck for them as companies seem to take a "survival of the fittest" approach. There is also the point of adding yet another task to the role of academics. Most of us are not qualified to advise students on difficult personal issues so need to refer them to under-staffed specialist services. I can avoid wasting my time with fitness apps in my personal life but there will be no escape from this new insidious imposition for students or staff.
