Surrey appoints ten in schools overhaul

Ten heads of school have been appointed by the University of Surrey as part of its academic reorganisation. Nine of the appointments are internal, but the school of mechanical and materials engineering is to be headed by Mike Goringe, professor of materials at Oxford University. The schools structure will come into operation on August 1.
