The Social Science Information Gateway has relaunched its service, offering a new web interface and more personalised facilities. Sosig now offers an internet catalogue providing access to thousands of global resources, each with brief descriptions to encourage quick searches.
The service provides thesaurus facilities, conference announcements, courses, CVs and profiles of researchers, with the option for users to publish theirs. Sosig is also offering customised views of what's new on Sosig, with regular email update options and a way to automatically find like-minded colleagues in the same fields.
