Students in Swansea have smashed the world record for the most people dressed as Smurfs in a single place. The record-breaking 2,510 blue-faced students from Swansea University met at the Ocean nightclub. The event, organised by a fancy-dress costume firm, beat the previous record of 1,253 set last year in Ireland. James Houston, president of the Swansea University Students' Union, said: "It was the weirdest experience of my life."
