An exclusive online recruitment service geared towards the needs of MBAs and world-class firms has been launched with the backing of top business schools.

Global Workplace.com, a spin-off from the London Business School, is aimed at business graduates and alumni. John Quelch, dean of the London Business School, said: "The MBA community has been crying out for a service like this. Now the schools have a dedicated service that's run for them alone, meeting their special needs: top-notch quality, excellent results and superb candidates."

Leading business schools in ten countries, representing 150,000 high-earning graduates from around the world, are behind the initiative. Companies including Coca-Cola, Dell, Heinz, Oracle and Virgin have joined the network.

Geraldine Kilbride, director and co-founder of Global Workplace.com, said:

"Until now, the world of senior appointments has been a hit-and-miss affair. By bringing together leading business schools, employers, headhunters and executive search firms we are delivering a high-class service that will transform the market."
