SCOTLAND's higher education institutions have launched a Pounds 3-million company to sell their distance learning expertise worldwide. Scottish Knowledge plc will not be linked to one university, but will fund the development of distance learning packages or buy courses which seem most appropriate for specific markets. Bodies incuding Scottish Power plc and the Bank of Scotland have already committed Pounds 750,000. The company hopes to reach its Pounds 3 million target by the end of June.
