Theft of intellectual property is an issue that has exercised the minds of universities' information administrators for much of the past decade.

Now American company Vyou.com has developed a copyright tool for the web. The software basically allows a "look but don't touch" approach to the internet, protecting anything from source codes to text, scripts and images. The organisation using the tool can choose whether to allow people access levels: to save the information, save and print, download or other privileges.
