That’s a bit of one-sided "tabloid" reporting, really. It forgets to mention that the head of the institute is the second most-cited author on Google Scholar for infectious diseases and made important contributions (Q Fever, giant viruses). Or that the use of hydroxychloroquine had also been trialed in Italy early in the pandemic, or New York (city and state), and is by no means unique to that Institute - not to mention the Lancetgate, a far greater scandal than any of innuendos made in this article. Other than that, a scientist with an Ego, possible bullying of PhD students ... that's really unheard of, innit?
The real facts are totally the opposite: Hydroxychloroquine, according to the research papers and treatment experiences surely more powerful treatment than (the much more expensive) Remdesivir. Banning by the authorities this drug and later banning the more powerful (Nobel winner) drug Ivermectin in France (and in the total "developed world") or pushing aside the also powerful D hormone, these factors resulted the highest mortality numbers of the World. Please, instead of Pr. Raoult investigate the official health leaders.
This is totally accurate. I see Didier Raoult didn't lose any time sending his internet trolls on here.
