QAA warns about quality overseas

Quality inspectors have warned against the rapid expansion of lucrative franchise arrangements in India by Thames Valley University and have expressed concerns about "serious weaknesses" in the monitoring of an overseas course by the University of Bradford.

An overseas quality audit report from the Quality Assurance Agency has noted that Thames Valley University has been cautious about "overambitious" exploitation of opportunities. However, "the audit team had the impression that this caution was not always shared by those involved in the day-to-day implementation of the policy."

Another QAA audit report has urged Bradford to review the methods it uses "to monitor its delegated responsibilities" in an MBA course provided in Dubai in partnership with Albanna International.
