The QAA and its many excellent colleagues over the years was instrumental in the development of the ESG and it is a very great shame that they have been forced out. The development of the ESG has been one of the great achievements of recent years and was the result of countries working together. Sadly, the UK's move away from the standards demonstrates a step in the wrong direction: it is, however, one of the many natural results of Brexit.
