Publishers ‘taking funders for a ride’ with mirror journals

This is another reason to encourage publishing in Learned Society journals where the bulk of any profits are ploughed back into the relevant academic community, usually in terms of early career researcher grants, meetings and congresses, education to school children and dissemination to the general public.
