A basic tenet of social science research is that no research is ever entirely objective. Physical and biological scientists have much to learn form their social science colleagues.
Absolutely agree with this. There has been a tradition of 'Hard' (the very use of the word denotes a bias) Science feeling smugly superior about it's own objectivity and the quality of it's own research. PSI aims to be highly inclusive and will not just be about 'Physical/Natural' science but will be about all science. Drew
Interesting, educated and initially employed in a business requiring actual science, engineering and physics I soon discovered something more was needed to enable change to happen or just manage the engineering processes. It was of course the social sciences, fortunately my employer provided development, my assumptions and worldview changed and reflection ensured I kept in touch with 'reality' and the people around me. Having the two academic backgrounds developed an open systems view of the world for me. Steve
