(Photograph) - Place of refuge: Pascal Nugiraneza fled from the genocide sweeping Rwanda two and a half years ago and became a postgraduate economics student at York University. After completing his masters degree and one year of a PhD he has been forced to drop out through lack of funds and has now applied for political asylum in the UK. Mr Nugiraneza says his life would be in danger if he returned to Rwanda but his time is almost up. "I am living in limbo," he says as he awaits a Home Office decision.
