Pembroke turns to MI6

Sir Richard Dearlove, the head of MI6, has been elected master of Pembroke College, Cambridge. He will take over next August when his five-year Secret Intelligence Service contract ends. Until then, he intends to maintain the SIS vow of silence and ban on public appearances. The 58-year-old, who studied at Queen's College, Cambridge, will succeed Sir Roger Tomkys.
