(Photograph) - James Badwin has reaped the benefits of the New Deal summer school at Plymouth College - he won a job as a laboratory technician after two years of unemployment. Mr Badwin dropped out of the University of Hertfordshire's HND course in chemistry after Cornwall County Council refused him a grant to re-sit finals.
