Natfhe to ballot after 27-hour week rejected

Lecturers' union Natfhe will hold a national ballot over the next few weeks on contracts and possible strikes. The union's further education sector conference last week decided to recommend rejecting a recent agreement forged with employers, which would limit working hours to between 800 and 880 per year and between 22 and per week, and a vote in favour of strike action. Ballot results will be announced on October 26.
