The Museums and Galleries Commission has commissioned research into museums' insurance from a team at City University and into the state of scholarship in the sector from a team at the University of St Andrews. City researcher Jackie Sarafopoulos said: "The research will look at not only insurance of collections but also of buildings, fixtures, events and employers."
