A year ago the NUS said "73% of students said they supported the University staff taking part in this campaign and strike action, whilst just 9% of students opposed". If your "customers" support your employees going on strike and they continue to pay you whatever, then there is little motivation for capitulation by Universities. Unlike the train strikes. I suspect some movement on the pre 1992 pensions but not otherwise.
