Sicily opens Mafia museum
UN secretary-general Kofi Annan will tomorrow open a museum and documentation centre devoted to the Mafia in the Sicilian village of Corleone. The centre, linked to the University of Palermo, will house documents from anti-Mafia agencies, the media, private collections and organisations associated with the Cosa Nostra.

Indian lecturers end strike
University lecturers in the Indian state of Bihar have ended a four-month strike after reaching an agreement with the state authorities. At least 12,000 lecturers had struck for higher wages and a later retirement age.

Parisian business school wins triple
HEC, the Paris-based business school, has become the first in France to gain the accreditation triple crown — recognition by the Association of MBAs, the European Foundation for Management Development and, this month, the International Association for Management Education.
