In brief

I was greatly cheered to see David Blunkett's plans for setting up an e-university ("Britain flies e-university flag", THES, February 18) but he ought perhaps to check on the use of names first. There is already an "e-university" operating on the web and the name is registered as a trademark, governed by the laws of Nevada, US. The subjects on offer (ranging from ethics and etiquette to marketing and maths) make it rather distinctive, but perhaps Blunkett could launch something like e-univ-uk instead.
