Governors need guidance on liability

A report to the Neill committee on standards in public life has said that a further education funding council guide for governors could "mislead". The report on the findings of a study on personal liability of governors in public organisations says the law should be changed to provide university and college governors with the same protections against liability as company directors and trustees.
