I refer to this in my recent blog post "50 shades of sexism in the academy" https://universitydiary.wordpress.com/2015/03/05/50-shades-of-sexism-in-the-academy/
"Just 20 per cent of female respondents were professors, despite the fact that 80 per cent of historians holding the academic title of Dr were women and the subject has an equal gender balance among students." I thought this seemed off, so I went to the report. It actually says 80 per cent of female respondents have the title Dr (rather than Professor), not that women are 80% of PhD holders.
