Exempt education from parking levies, v-cs say

Higher education institutions should be exempt from the government's proposed workplace car parking levy, says the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals. In its consultation response, the CVCP says higher education institutions would seek more finance from the funding councils to meet any levy - so national taxpayers would cover costs arising from local levies.
