Ex-Keele professor charged with fraud

Peter Rolfe, formerly head of Keele's hospital-based bioengineering and medical physics department, was this week charged jointly with former administrator Carol Benmakroha of conspiracy to defraud the North Staffordshire Hospital Trust and Keele University. They have been bailed to appear before Stoke-on-Trent magistrates on January 12. Professor Rolfe was dismissed in October 1997.
