Loughborough University has won a deal worth £59 million to set up an engineering research facility. In partnership with BAE Systems and the East Midlands Development Agency, the university will develop a Systems Engineering Innovation Centre that will aim to strengthen the performance of regional businesses in systems engineering. Loughborough was identified last week as the UK's most efficient technology-transfer university in a survey by Nottingham University Business School.
