Meanwhile in some UK Universities staff not in possession of the mystical 'shield at home' letter (the NHS infighting on those letters means a lot who should have them don't as the lazy GP's have been saying it's the Hospitals job to send them, the hospitals conversely say they don't have the indepth and recent or regular contact so it's more the GP's job apparently), are now effectively being threatened with 'breech of contract' if they don't attend for 'work'. Research Institues without teaching and those with commercial 'spin-out' ventures and contracts in particular are going against the "stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives" message, using the "Stay at home Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)" message from Government as their reason, as they fear financial collapse more than the virus decimating their staff or the country...
