A conservation biologist whose research focuses on global environmental changes and their impact on biodiversity and people has been awarded the 2007 International Cosmos Prize. Georgina Mace, director of the Centre for Population Biology at Imperial College London, will receive the prize at a ceremony in Osaka, Japan in October.
