Conserving Cutty Sark

Greenwich University has confirmed its role in helping to conserve the Cutty Sark , the Victorian sailing ship docked near the university's historic campus. Researchers are using software predictions to ensure that the 137-year-old ship is dismantled and restored in the safest possible way, by testing how the wood and metal components will behave in various renovation scenarios.
