Derek Stevenson of Surrey University is to receive one of the Royal Society of Chemistry's major career awards at the RSC annual congress and award dinner in November.

Dr Stevenson is to receive a medal for his work and research in separation science and in particular for his work into sample preparation, immuno affinity extraction, chiral separations and drug bioanalysis.
