Biologists from three UK universities are to collaborate on a study into the response of human cells to stimuli such as stress and UV radiation. Scientists from the universities of Liverpool, Manchester and Warwick are being funded by a £5 million research council grant to study a signalling system that, when it goes wrong, is thought to cause cancer and other conditions.
