burnt out? that is an understatement. But does any one really care - apart from those who suffer and their loved ones?
Nobody cares. There will be soundbites from the leadership team saying they do but nothing changes. They will refer you to a counselling team or self help guide as that then makes the problem yours rather than theirs.
They will organise mental health days and similar initiatives. As if by registering for those, one would get a reduction in workload. That overwhelming workload will still be there waiting for you after your yoga sessions with random colleagues. And you'll find out you cannot even book sick days anymore without asking your line manager to book them for you after you have sent them a formal request.
