A consortium of the Medical Research Council, the Wellcome Trust, Cancer Research UK and University College London has made it to the final round of bidding to secure a site behind the British Library to develop a £350m medical research centre, The Times reported this week. The British Library International Science Site (Bliss) would include the MRC's National Institute for Medical Research. The land is being sold by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. The outcome of the bid is expected to be known within a month.
