Animals and kids

A vague new group of pro-vivisectionists wants animal rights individuals to refuse medical treatment developed using research on animals. What a cheap and sorry political tactic this is.

All of us who deplore animal testing for any reason are happy to live with the consequences of our beliefs. The truth of the matter is that: * Most medical advances that required the pain or death of animals would have been achieved by other routes.

* Much suffering and death of animals contributes nothing to human welfare.

* Only when animal testing is banned will real ingenuity and effort be made to achieve progress via alternative routes.
