The way that online networking tools such as Twitter and Facebook are changing politics is to be investigated by researchers at Anglia Ruskin University. The study follows political demonstrations in Iran that were organised via Twitter. It will begin in October, is expected to last two years and will scrutinise new media developments as they emerge.
