Aiding innovation

The Government has responded to the Science and Technology Select Committee's critical report, Research Council Support for Knowledge Transfer , by promising a new high-level strategic forum to work to remove barriers to innovation - in particular in business-university interactions - as well as to spread best practice. The MPs' report, published in June, says that research councils have failed to take a co-ordinated approach to knowledge transfer.
