The vice-chancellor of Oxford University has confirmed that Andrew Wilkie - the academic at the centre of a row for refusing to consider an Israeli doctoral candidate for a place in his laboratory - will face a disciplinary panel. Professor Wilkie will come before the visitatorial board in September in a hearing expected to take several days.
The board will then consider his position at Oxford.
