Laurie Taylor, academic, broadcaster and Times Higher columnist, is to receive an honorary degree, Doctor of Letters, from Leicester University, where he graduated with an MA in sociology in 1967. Lord Attenborough and Sir David Attenborough will also be become distinguished honorary fellows.
