too much costly properties students can not even afford to buy or rent a property.. https://propertiestoletinbradford.weebly.com/
When the buy to let absentee landlords get together and form cartels that as a group will push houses in the student let areas out of private buyers reach at auction, or become so rich and powerful individually they monopolise an area, often as a spin out from their legal practices, then it's time the Universities fought back, on both staff and students behalf. Locally we have one such 'family' concern, their legal team stitches up every renter so almost without fail they will lose their deposit at the end of the rental period, 6 renters per HMO means £10,000 effectively tax free as they claim it's to repair 'damage' no matter how minor, their family home close to the VC's official residence is worth ~£2,500,000 as befits a JAT clan that operates using the same modus operandi around the world, especially in former Commonwealth countries.
