Saudi Arabian religious authorities have declared Kuwait University political science professor, Ghamlan Al Issa, an apostate who should be killed. Professor Al Issa said in a magazine interview that he did not want sharia (Islamic law) implemented in Kuwait. Professor Al Issa is on sabbatical in the United States. A cleric has said that unless he repents and apologises in public for his statements, "he should be killed".
