Wise up with barn owls

Barn owls could become a familiar sight once again in the UK with the help of experts at York University. Research led by Nick Askew in the university's department of biology, and supported by the Barn Owl Trust, has quantified the species' habitat requirements and is helping to focus conservation efforts across the country. In Britain, there are thought to be more barn owls in captivity than in the wild.
