Warwick tops awards

Warwick University is the biggest winner in the second round of Science and Innovation Awards announced by the Government last week. The university won £8.8 million of £.7 million available to help strategically important research areas.

Other winners included: Queen's University, Belfast (£3.2 million); Imperial College London and University College London (£5.6 million); Strathclyde University and King's College London (£4.3 million); Bristol University (£3.5 million); and Cambridge University (£2.3 million).
