The University and College Union is surveying the progress made by institutions in reassessing the roles of academic-related staff before new pay structures are introduced under the Higher Education Role Analysis and Hay Group job evaluation systems.
"There have been pockets of problems here and there but many are not insurmountable," a union official said.
