Archbishop Desmond Tutu has won an Aus$50,000 (Pounds 19,000) peace prize from the University of Sydney Peace Foundation. The prize is awarded annually to an organisation or individual who has made significant contributions to global peace and whose work illustrates the philosophy of non-violence.
