The School of Oriental and African Studies has appointed Colin Bundy, vice-chancellor of the University of the Wi****ersrand, South Africa, its new director from May 2001.
Headhunters Saxton Bampfylde were impressed by his success in fundraising for Wits and his dramatic repositioning and restructuring of the troubled university since he took over the reins in 1997.
