Research at Edinburgh University has found that one in every four rugby players were injured in a single season, with the tackle most often associated with injuries. Michael Garroway of Edinburgh's department of public health sciences and Donald Macleod, honorary medical adviser to the Scottish Rugby Union, carried out a survey of rugby injuries in the south of Scotland district, to be published in tomorrow's Lancet.
