Research memorial for meningitis victims

SOUTHAMPTON University is to plough more than Pounds 200,000 into research for a meningitis vaccine in memory of its students who died earlier this academic year from the disease. The grant will support research at the university to develop a vaccine against the B strain of the disease. Southampton will ask all freshers to be vaccinated against the C strain of the disease before arrival.
