Racist bias alleged in choosing trainee nurses

BLACK women who apply to train as nurses are more likely to be rejected without interview despite their qualifications, according to University of Plymouth researchers. The researchers reached their conclusion after analysing applications and ethnic monitoring questionnaires at all nurse training institutes in England between 1993 and 1996.
