(Photograph) - Pole position: Wladyslaw Bednarowski, 94, a former reader in logic at Aberdeen University, has endowed a trust to promote Polish and Scottish academic ties. Dr Bednarowski became a lecturer at Aberdeen after the second world war. The trust will fund up to three academics a year from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow to come to Aberdeen.
