A specialist in the discipline of electronic signal processing has become the latest holder of the Edinburgh University Regius chair of engineering. Peter Grant, who is head of the School of Engineering and Electronics, succeeds mechanical engineer Joe McGeough. In 2004, Professor Grant was awarded the 82nd Faraday Medal by the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
