A 2.7 per cent pay offer has been accepted in a ballot of members of the Association of University and College Lecturers representing staff in the new universities and colleges of higher education. "Once again our negotiations have been dragged along on the coat tails of staff in the old universities who settled for 2.7 per cent in April when inflation was lower," said AUCL negotiator Neil Macfarlane.
